Asus laptops include recovery software, installed to a hidden partition on the hard drive, that you can use to reinstall Windows in case of system failure. You can also use the software to wipe all of the data off the drive and restore the laptop to its factory default condition. If your computer performs slower than normal, contains viruses or displays numerous errors, you can reformat, or erase, the contents of the drive and start over fresh. Transfer any important business-related files to an alternate storage device before proceeding, as the process removes all old files from the drive.

Turn on or reboot the computer and press 'F9' when the boot screen appears. If you wait too long and the Windows logo appears, repeat the process.

Confirm 'Windows Setup [EMS Enabled]' is selected. Press 'Enter' to proceed.

Choose your language from the drop-down menu, then click 'Next.'
